What you get

  • Each app's App Store rating next to the share of its recent written reviews at one or two stars
  • The words that keep coming back in one- and two-star reviews, with how many reviews use each and a real example
  • The latest bad reviews, quoted as written
  • From your second check on: new versions, rating moves and new reviews since the last one

A real run

Measured Oct 10, 2026, on the most recent written reviews Apple showed for each app in the Brazilian App Store (Nubank 200, Inter and PicPay 350 each, Sep 2 – Oct 8). Counts are of those reviews, not of all users. This was the first check, so there are no changes to show yet; a check next week lists new versions, rating moves and new reviews. Brands are examples; not affiliated.

Nubank shows 4.8 stars on the App Store, yet 52% of its last 200 written reviews give one or two stars.

Nubank: 104 of 200 reviews (Sep 17 – Oct 8) at one or two stars; 19 of those say the app won't open (“abre”, as in “não abre”).

What you do with it: if your app opens and logs in reliably, say so in your next ad; 19 of Nubank's and 15 of Inter's bad reviews complain it doesn't.

How it works

Your AI assistant does these steps for you. Our run was free, and there is nothing to install or configure.

Finds each app on the App Store

By name or App Store link, in the country you pick.

Reads up to 500 recent reviews per app

And counts them by stars.

Finds the complaints that keep coming back

Words far more common in one- and two-star reviews than in four- and five-star ones, with examples.

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Apple's public App Store listing and review feed for the country you pick. Reviewer names are left out.

What does it cost?

Nothing; it is free. New accounts also get $5 to try the paid use cases.

How accurate is it?

Everything is counted, not judged by AI: stars, how many reviews use a word, quotes as written. It covers the written reviews Apple shows (up to 500 per app), not all ratings, and unhappy users write more often, so the share is higher than the overall rating suggests.

Will the other company know?

No. It reads public App Store pages.

How often should I run it?

Weekly. Ask your AI assistant to check your app and your top competitors every Monday; each check is stored, so the next one shows new versions and rating moves.

What if an app shows no reviews?

Apple's review feed sometimes answers empty for a few hours. The check then shows the reviews it already stored and says so; try again later for new ones.
