Asked on Oct 12 for an email marketing tool, two of four AIs left out RD Station, the brand all four put first for marketing automation.

A real run
Asked Oct 12, 2026, in Portuguese: three questions a small Brazilian company might ask (email marketing tool, marketing automation tool, sales CRM), each to four AIs with web search, once. Place counts only RD Station, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp and Brevo. A check on Oct 10 used other questions and competitors, so it is not compared here; answers change between asks, so treat one check as a snapshot. Brands are examples; not affiliated.
Asked for an email marketing tool, two of four AIs left RD Station out and none put it first among the five brands we asked about, though all four put it first for marketing automation.
Email marketing: OpenAI's answer led with Mailchimp and Zoho Campaigns and also named Brevo; Perplexity's led with Mailchimp, then Brevo. Neither named RD Station. Claude's and Gemini's led with Brevo and named RD Station third and second.
Perplexity's email answer linked 10 pages, one of them RD Station's own email marketing guide, and still did not name RD Station. That guide's page title, shown in the browser tab and often in search results, still says 2020, though the article is dated March 12, 2026. Five of the comparison lists it linked didn't name RD Station when we read them: IONOS's, Twilio's, HubSpot's, Mailtrap's and one of Nuvemshop's two.
Sales CRM: all four named RD Station, first in three. OpenAI's answer led with Kommo, which is not on our list, and also put HubSpot ahead of it.
Across the 12 answers, RD Station was named in 10, Brevo in 7, HubSpot and Mailchimp in 5 each and ActiveCampaign in 3.
Only Perplexity linked to rdstation.com, in all three of its answers. OpenAI's three answers and two of Claude's linked to other sites; Gemini's three and Claude's CRM answer came back with no links.
What you do with it: take the 2020 out of the email marketing guide's page title, then ask the same three questions next month to see whether the email answers change.

Questions
Which AIs answer, and is it the same as the ChatGPT app?
Four AIs from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and Perplexity, each searching the web before it answers. We use each company's smaller, faster version, the kind built into other products, not the chat apps: ChatGPT and the other apps can answer differently, because they run other versions and add your history, location and settings.
Where does the data come from?
From the answers themselves, collected at the moment you ask, plus the links each answer gives. Nothing comes from a survey or an estimate.
How accurate is it?
Whether a brand is named and in what order is found by matching its name in the answer text, so it is exact for the answer we got. AI answers change from one ask to the next and over the weeks, so one check is a snapshot; ask a few wordings of the same question before drawing a conclusion. Place counts only the brands you list: an answer can name other brands before yours (OpenAI's CRM answer led with Kommo).
What does it cost?
About 25 cents for up to 12 answers (for example 3 questions to 4 AIs). New accounts get $5 to try the paid use cases.
Will the brands know?
No. It only asks the AIs questions, the same way a buyer would; nothing is sent to the brands.
How often should I run it?
Once a month with the same questions, and after you publish or get covered on a comparison page, to see whether the answers change.
Who else should I talk to?
The authors of the comparison lists the answers linked to. In this run, Nuvemshop's 19-tool list, Mailtrap's and IONOS's lists didn't name RD Station; ask your AI assistant to read the pages behind the answers and list the ones that leave you out.
What if my brand is never named?
The AIs don't connect you with that question yet. Look at the sites they link to: those are the pages to get onto, and your own pages may need to answer the question in plain words.
