Do I need to know where to look?
No. You give the company's CNPJ and ask your question. Your assistant knows which public records to check and explains what it found.
Where does the data come from?
Public government records: the federal tax registry, the federal debt list, the labor courts, Caixa (FGTS) and public court records.
Does it find every lawsuit?
Not yet. It shows the judicial recovery status from the registry and the labor case listed on the certificate. We looked up the judicial recovery case by its public number. A full search of lawsuits by CNPJ is not included yet.
Will the company know I checked?
No. These are public lookups.
What does an empty result mean?
That nothing showed up in the records checked on that day. It is a snapshot, not a guarantee.
How often should I run it?
Before signing and again before each renewal; the records change.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is a quick screen of public records. If something shows up, it tells you what to ask a lawyer.
