Looks up a domain in its official registry over RDAP (the successor to WHOIS): whether it is registered, the registrar, creation, last-update and expiry dates, status codes (such as clientTransferProhibited), nameservers, DNSSEC and the registrar abuse contact.

Owner names are usually redacted by the registry for privacy. Works for any TLD whose registry runs RDAP (all gTLDs and most ccTLDs).
